Accredited Massage & Reflexology Course Southampton & Hampshire

A complete therapist training pathway

This diploma has been designed to give students a broader and more realistic entry into the holistic therapy industry.

Rather than qualifying in just one treatment, you will complete training in:

  • Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology
  • Level 3 Swedish Massage
  • Level 3 Reflexology
  • Holistic Crystal Facial Diploma

In addition, all students enrolling on this programme will receive the Healing Hands Studio therapist business course at no additional cost.

This means your training does not stop at qualification. You will also gain guidance on how to begin building a paying client base, price your treatments, and move forward professionally once your practical training is complete.

Designed to run like an academic course

This programme begins in September 2026 and runs through to completion in December 2026.

The structure has been designed to feel more like a guided academic term than a standalone weekend course. You will begin your theory early, study alongside your practical training, and continue applying what you learn through structured case study work in between each practical block.

This approach allows you to build knowledge gradually, practise safely, and return for each stage of hands-on training with a stronger level of understanding and confidence.

It also gives you time to develop your practical skills in the real world, rather than trying to absorb everything at once.

What you will study

Anatomy and Physiology

Your Anatomy and Physiology training forms the foundation of the course and begins at the start of the programme.

This section supports safe and professional practice and helps you understand the body systems that underpin your treatments. It is an essential part of training for those entering massage and reflexology and gives you the knowledge needed to work with greater confidence, competence, and professionalism.

Topics will include key body systems, structure and function, terminology, and the practical relevance of anatomy and physiology within complementary therapy.

You will begin this theory as soon as you enrol, allowing you to start learning before your first practical block.

Level 3 Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is the first practical module within the diploma and provides a strong hands-on starting point for your therapist journey.

This practical block will cover the foundations of professional body massage, including routine structure, core techniques, consultation, client care, and treatment planning. Students will learn how to deliver a full-body treatment with confidence and professionalism.

Training includes:

  • Full body massage routine
  • Core Swedish massage techniques
  • Treatment flow and body mechanics
  • Client consultation and record keeping
  • Contraindications and safe practice
  • Aftercare and professional standards

This part of the course is designed to help students develop practical confidence from the outset and create a strong base for further training.

Level 3 Reflexology

The second practical block introduces reflexology and expands your treatment offering into holistic foot therapy.

Students will learn the theory and practice of reflexology, including foot mapping, reflex zones, pressure techniques, sequencing, and treatment delivery. This module builds on the professional standards and client care skills developed earlier in the course and introduces a different style of therapeutic practice.

Training includes:

  • Reflex zones and foot maps
  • Reflexology techniques and pressure application
  • Structuring a full treatment
  • Adapting treatment to client presentation
  • Consultation, aftercare, and treatment records

This stage allows students to diversify their skills and begin building a broader therapist toolkit.

Holistic Crystal Facial Diploma

The final practical stage of the programme is the Holistic Crystal Facial Diploma.

This module is completed as a post-qualification hands-on addition towards the latter part of the term, once students have already developed confidence through massage, reflexology, and case study experience.

The facial module is designed to broaden your treatment menu even further and introduce a client offering that combines facial therapy with a more holistic and relaxing experience.

Training includes:

  • Full facial treatment routine
  • Skin preparation and product application
  • Facial, neck, and décolleté massage
  • Use of crystals within the treatment experience
  • Client comfort, flow, and treatment finish
  • Aftercare and professional presentation

This final addition strengthens the commercial value of the diploma by giving students another treatment area they can begin offering professionally.

How the course is structured

The programme is delivered in stages across the academic term.

Stage 1: Enrolment and theory access

Once enrolled, you will begin your Anatomy and Physiology theory straight away. This gives you the opportunity to start building your knowledge before your first practical block and arrive feeling prepared and ready to engage fully with your training.

Stage 2: Swedish Massage practical training

Your first practical attendance will be the Level 3 Swedish Massage training, delivered across 3 hands-on days.

This is where you begin learning in person, applying the theory you have started to build, and developing your first professional treatment routine in a supported training environment.

Stage 3: Swedish Massage case studies

Following your practical training, you will continue practising through case studies. This allows you to work on real people, improve your confidence, refine your technique, and begin thinking like a therapist rather than only a student.

Stage 4: Return four weeks later for Reflexology

Approximately four weeks later, you will return for the Reflexology practical training, delivered over 2 days.

By this point, you will already have gained hands-on confidence through massage case study work, making it easier to absorb and apply a new treatment modality.

Stage 5: Reflexology case studies

After the reflexology practical block, you will complete 5 reflexology case studies to further develop your practical skill and experience in this area.

Stage 6: Return two weeks later for Holistic Crystal Facial

Two weeks after the reflexology stage, you will return for your 1-day Holistic Crystal Facial practical training.

This final practical module is completed as a post-qualification therapist addition, allowing you to expand your offering and complete the programme with a wider, more versatile treatment menu.

Stage 7: Facial case studies and completion

Following the facial training, you will complete 3 case studies in this treatment area.

By December 2026, you will have completed your theory, attended all practical training days, and worked through your case studies across the programme.

This structure gives students time to absorb, practise, return, and progress properly, rather than being rushed through a qualification.

Case studies and practical development

Case studies are a core part of the diploma and are included to help bridge the gap between learning and real client work.

They allow students to practise their treatment skills in a more realistic setting, strengthen confidence, and improve consultation, communication, and treatment flow. They also help reinforce professional habits such as note taking, aftercare, observation, and self-reflection.

Within this diploma, students will complete:

  • 5 Swedish Massage case studies following the first practical block
  • 5 Reflexology case studies following the reflexology training
  • 3 Holistic Crystal Facial case studies following the facial training

This gradual build-up of practical work supports genuine skill development and prepares students for moving into professional client work after qualification.

Business course included at no additional cost

All students enrolling onto this diploma will also receive access to the therapist business course free of charge.

This has been included because qualifying is only one part of becoming a therapist. Many students finish training with practical skills but no clear idea of how to begin. This additional course is designed to help you move from learning into earning.

The business course includes guidance around:

  • Starting out as a therapist
  • Structuring your treatment prices
  • Attracting your first clients
  • Building repeat bookings
  • Presenting yourself professionally
  • Creating a business that feels realistic and sustainable

This makes the diploma not only a training course, but a pathway into a potential new career.

Who this course is for

This programme is suitable for:

  • Complete beginners with no prior experience
  • Those looking for a career change
  • Individuals wanting to train in multiple therapies rather than one
  • Students who prefer a more structured and supported learning journey
  • Therapists wanting to broaden their treatment menu with additional qualifications

No previous experience is required to begin this diploma.

How you will learn

Training is delivered through a combination of home study and in-person practical teaching.

You will receive access to your theory materials and begin these at the start of the programme. Practical blocks are then attended in person at key stages across the term, with case studies completed between each stage.

This blended format allows students to revisit content, continue learning outside the classroom, and build practical experience gradually alongside theory.

Support is provided throughout the course, helping you to stay on track and move through each stage with clarity.

Your outcome on completion

By the end of the programme, you will have completed training in:

  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Level 3 Swedish Massage
  • Level 3 Reflexology
  • Holistic Crystal Facial

You will finish the diploma having gained theoretical knowledge, practical classroom experience, and supported case study work across each treatment area.

Completion is scheduled for December 2026, giving you the opportunity to enter the new year with new qualifications, new treatment skills, and a genuine route into a new professional chapter.

Why choose this diploma

This course has been designed for students who want depth, structure, and real progression.

It offers more than a single qualification. It gives you the opportunity to train across multiple treatment areas, learn in a calm and supportive environment, and develop real confidence through hands-on work and case studies over time.

The academic-style format means you are not rushed. You are given time to learn, practise, return, and grow throughout the term.

For students serious about entering the holistic therapy industry, this offers a more complete and more commercially valuable route than qualifying in only one modality.
